Music - Courthouse Stage

  • Stone County Courthouse 107 W. Mian Street Mountain View, AR, 72560 United States (map)

Prince & The Paupers was formed in 2018. Band members include: Alex Prince—vocals, Gresham McMillon on bass, and Duane Porterfield on a variety of instruments. Due to the pandemic, the group took a break but came back in 2022 & have been playing together ever since.

Based in Mountain View, AR—the Folk Music Capital—they play their unique style of music at local venues and the surrounding areas. Regular performers at the Ozark Folk Center, they help keep old time traditions alive. But elsewhere, you will hear an old time twist on contemporary music, as well.

Every Friday and Saturday night from mid-April to mid-October, the heart of Mountain View comes alive with music! On the courthouse stage downtown, you can catch free live performances featuring a mix of country, classic rock, bluegrass, and traditional folk music. It’s the perfect way to spend an evening—bring a lawn chair, tap your feet, and enjoy the sounds of the "Folk Music Capital of the World" under the stars. This cherished Mountain View tradition is a must-see!
